The idea of putting up a testing laboratory was conceived early in 1997 by Mr. Rey Kangleon. After his early retirement from being a Quality Manager, he started a new career in selling insurance products. While practicing his new profession, one of his old colleagues, which he was selling insurance products to, suggested putting up a testing laboratory for various feed milling plants that would compete with existing laboratories for faster turn-around of test results at lower costs. He considered the idea and then appealed to his former R&D colleagues to be his partners in the business. On July 1, 1997, F.A.S.T. Laboratories' testing business was recognized as a primary service cooperative of technical professionals and it soon started its operations in Batangas and Cubao. From this humble beginning, the F.A.S.T. Laboratories continued to draw a record of sustained growth through the years. Small, medium and large industries requiring analytical services and technical expertise have poured in as valued and satisfied customers of this small but "power-packed" technical cooperative.

For the blessed 20 years, the cooperative says thanks as they look forward to the future with the anniversary's theme, "Pasasalamat at Paghahanda sa Pag-unlad." Numerous events and projects were scheduled throughout the year as a testament of FAST Lab's Mission for service to their customers, employees and member-shareholders as well as to the community and to the government. Their project Palikuran at Paliguan para kay Lolo brought a toilet and bath area for the male elderly at the Luwalhati ng Maynila Home for the Aged. The cooperative also organized a mass wedding ceremony, Kasalang Bayan for two of their employees who longed to tie the knot. There was also the donation of the drinking fountains and career orientation to five schools, one in each city where the laboratories are located.

As the year-long celebration ends, the cooperative wishes for more years of excellent service and more opportunities to give back to their customers, employees, member-shareholders, to the community and to the government.

The caravan celebration started its first leg at the Luwalhati ng Maynila Home for the Aged in Marikina City on July 2, 2017. The day started with a thanksgiving mass attended by the residents of the home and the members and employees of FAST Lab. After the mass, snacks and drinks were distributed for the residents as the day's programs proceeded. As a reflection of FAST Lab's value of social concern and responsibility, the cooperative initiated a project called "Palikuran at Paliguan Para Kay Lolo". This project provided the male elderly residents a toilet and bath area. After the unveiling of the project, members and employees then planted 20 fruit bearing trees within the area of the institution.

The celebration continued as FAST Lab members and employees witnessed the marriages of Joey and Karen, and Michol and Mary Grace on July 8, 2017 as part of the "Kasalang Bayan". The event was sponsored by the cooperative for unwed employees who wanted to tie the knot. The weddings were conducted simultaneously in the Transfiguration of Our Lord Parish on 18th Ave, Cubao, Quezon City.

The wedding celebrations, as well as the anniversary celebration, continued in Novotel Manila Araneta Center. Cooperative members and employees were dressed in jade which symbolizes the twenty year anniversary. The program for the anniversary followed after the wedding receptions. The event looked back on the past twenty years and how FAST Lab was born. Audio-visual presentations from each laboratory were presented to congratulate the cooperative. It also showed the laboratories at present and some also featured old employees who also congratulated the cooperative. Awards were given to employees who have been in the company for significant years. In addition, changes in the cooperative and laboratories were announced.

These events only marked the beginning of the celebrations and more projects were   carried on throughout the year
